Virtual Event: Building Resiliency in a Pandemic

March 18, 2021 @ 12:00 pm 12:45 pm MDT

At Women+Power, we know and understand the challenges that women face in the power industry in Alberta, many of which have been exacerbated by a pandemic we didn’t see coming and can’t yet see an end to.

We invite you to join us on March 18, 2021, from 12 – 12:45 PM for a discussion with Karen Gallagher-Burt of the Canadian Mental Health Association as she presents the challenges women face in managing their mental health during a pandemic. Equal parts reality check, strategies for coping and practicing self-compassion, this presentation is designed to be normalizing and validating with some practical tips for good measure.
Karen is the Director of Community Engagement with Canadian Mental Health Association – Calgary. Her portfolio includes Communications, Fund Development and Community Events. Karen has a Graduate degree in social work and has spent her career focused on children at risk and Mental Health.

We are hopeful that together we can weather the pandemic and develop even greater resiliency so that we can continue to push for the transformational change that is needed to address the challenges we face.
